The Eco-Schools Scheme is a way of encouraging the school community to be more environmentally friendly and more economically aware. An Action Team have created an Action Plan that was shared with the school.
Healthy Schools Award
The Healthy Schools Award is split into four areas. It covers personal, social and health education, healthy eating, physical education and emotional health and wellbeing.
Vernon Primary School has been awarded the Dyslexia Friendly Mark.
Sarah Kiely, Assistant Headteacher at the Poynton school said “During the inspection, our school was found to be an inclusive school which caters extremely well for every child’s needs. Teaching styles used are varied and interesting, which motivates all children to learn to the best of their ability.”
The assessors found that the school environment was visually stimulating and supportive for learners.
Mrs Kiely added “We are very proud to have been awarded the Dyslexia Friendly Mark and continue to work hard to provide the best quality education for all.”
