A nasty man?

A bird?

A pineapple?

A giant's castle?

A great big vase with giant flowers?
Panorama.dk
Tim recommended this web site as an additional resource maintaining the idea of immersing pupils in different environments.
Interactive panoramas is a young media and as such it has for many years been known among enthusiastic photographers and multimedia creators. An interactive VR panorama can not be seen in a book or on a printed image. If you print the panorama it gets a completely different expression. You can only experience the feeling of being at the place and look around, on a computer.

The Hat
The Hat is a simple but handy little utility that offers a fun and easy way to automatically determine a random order from a list of any amount of names. You can even use it to pick individual names for raffle and sweepstakes winners, etc. or pick pairs of names for deciding random partnerships, complete with cool animation and sound effects.

Blockposters
Create wall posters from any size image completely free! Simply upload your picture and decide on how many sheets you want your picutre to be when printed. Your poster can then be downloaded in .pdf format for printing. Brilliant for Tim's 'blu-tac' technology!
Cool Timer
Cool Timer
Handy timer utility with a cool, customizable interface. Can be used like an oven timer in countdown mode, an alarm clock, or in stopwatch mode. Plays wav, midi, or mp3 files as an alarm or any of several built-in sounds.
Multimodal PowerPoint

Click to download an example of a Multimodal PowerPoint. Save as a 'PowerPoint Show' in order to open it ready for use. Pupils can type in the text boxes.
Adapt this for your own use by copying, pasting and resizing text boxes.
Drag and Drop

Did you know you can make your PowerPoint presentation more interactive by using a simple drag and drop macro?
Download this file to find out how.

Here are some screen shots to start off the collection.
Click the image to view actual size, right-click and 'save target as' to save.
Upload to 'blockposters' for a giant image or use in a multimodal text frame.
