A school where:
“Children enjoy coming to school and their self-confidence blossoms”
“The school meets consistently the challenging targets it sets”
Ofsted Jan 2006
May I take this opportunity of welcoming you and your child to Weston Village Primary School. Weston is a caring school, where staff and children work together in an atmosphere of respect and trust.
As highlighted in our inspection report in January 2006, Ofsted identified our school as a
caring one, where staff and children work together in an atmosphere of respect and trust. An
example of this care can be noted on the letter addressed to the School
Council from the Ofsted Inspectors, which can be found here.
We believe that all children, irrespective of ability, should be encouraged to work to their true potential, not only academically, but also in practical and sporting activities. The school recognizes the need for close co-operation with parents in order for this true potential to be achieved. The school believes that it is through the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum that the children consistently achieve high scores in national curriculum tests, which are well above the national average.
This web site is intended to provide you with some of the information you will require about
our school. Should you wish to know more, or would like to see the school at work, please do
not hesitate to telephone for an appointment.
