Performance Management Policy

 
The local authority has worked with teacher and support staff professional associations and unions to develop policies and associated documentation for teachers and headteachers and school support staff.   These are linked to a CPD policy which has been developed in the same way.   All three policies are available on the Blackburn with Darwen intranet.   If you do not have access to this please contact your school office who will be able to download copies for you.  
 
If schools adopt these policies as they stand, there is no need to consult locally.  However, if any additions or amendments are made at school level, local consultation must take place.

The Workforce Development team provides annual training for:

We are also able to provide bespoke sessions for individual schools and groups of schools, subject to capacity.
