At Daven School we encourage
every pupil to achieve the highest possible academic success. An important element of a child's education
is the assessment of work. This takes
the following form:
1 Children undertake a baseline assessment at
the beginning and end of reception.
Foundation Stage Profile
2. Regular marking of work -
marking which indicates where mistakes have been made and gives an appropriate
comment of encouragement or praise.
3. Standard Assessment Tests,
as set by the National Curriculum Council, will be taken at 7 and 11 and these
will be recorded.
4. Teacher Assessment is continually carried
out and this may be informed by regular testing
which may include Optional SAT’s in years
3,4 and 5.
5 A Record of Achievement in
all areas of the curriculum is compiled throughout a child's years in school.
6 At the end of each
academic year a report on a child's achievements in all areas of the curriculum
is issued to parents with opportunity for children and parents to comment on
progress made during the year. |
