St. Michael's Governors

The Governing Body is comprised of the Foundation Governors and the Headteacher, plus Governors who are elected to represent the Local Education Authority, the teaching staff, pupils and parents.  Governors are appointed for three years.  When vacancies for parent Governors occur, all parents are given the opportunity to participate in nominating and voting.

The Governing body meets at least once every term, but committees which deal specifically with issues relating to the Curriculum, Finance, Personnel and the Building meets more often.  An annual report (the School Profile) to parents is produced in the Summer Term and a meeting is held for parents to comment on the report and ask questions about the life and development of the school during the early part of the Autumn term.
