This area of ICT is all about direction and moving. The children learn basic programming skills to instruct a screen turtle to create shapes. We also use Beebots which are small programmable toys. The children love using them! Another piece of software we use enables the children to control traffic lights!
Children learn how to surf the internet effectively, send e-mails and use the learning platform. They also become aware of e-safety.
In this section of ICT children initially learn basic presentation skills mainly using Power point but also Publisher. They learn to add effects, sound and evaluate their work.
2Animate software and our DigiBlu cameras are used to create simple animations. Children learn to take and edit photographs, videos and sound recordings. They make music on the computers. The children especially enjoy using Kar2ouche to create story boards and a range of art software.
