Bentley Language Event
On Friday 22nd January a group of Year 7 and 8 pupils went to Bentley Motors with Mrs Hobday for a morning of German. The event was led by Mrs Andrea Price from Leighton and the group were all ex-pupils who had studied German with her at the primary school.
The morning started with a quiz for the teams (won by the Andi team) and then conversation with some German employees from the company. There were prizes for the best speakers Kieran Marsh and Sophie Joy. Bethany Frodsham, Olivia Carrigan and Stephen Tomlinson also got prizes for their efforts on the day.
Later, each team was allowed to design their dream car on the computer choosing a model, colour, interior and extra features using a German program on the laptops. We brought back our cars – well, a paper print out!
Each pupil brought back a certificate and a piece of special Bentley wood. A big thank you to the staff at Bentley and Mrs Price – we had a fantastic morning.
