Option K Ceramics
Since September a group of year 8 and year 9 pupils were given the opportunity to design and make a mug as part of the schools Option K programme. Working within the art department all pupils’ produced exciting mood boards and design sheets on their chosen theme and went on to create a real mug. Pupils were introduced to making a mug using the ‘coiling’ method and then how to apply professional glazes. The successful outcomes were a big success.
