Whitley Village School is situated in the picturesque village of Lower Whitley set in the beautiful rural Cheshire countryside between the towns of Northwich and Warrington.

It is in the best tradition of the English Village School and is one of the focal points of the local community.

The original building dates back to 1875, with new and large classrooms and practical area includes a new school hall, an additional teaching area, a disabled toilet and the school office. Outside are a playground, a playing field, a large wooden adventure playground area which was funded in part by the parents and an outside Play area which was added for Reception and Year 1.

At Whitley Village School we are proud to deliver a stimulating, creative curriculum that both supports and challenges our pupils’ learning. Our vision for the school is that it is a place where everyone is safe, valued and respected and where all efforts and achievements are celebrated. We encourage everyone to make healthy life choices and to make a positive contribution both within school and as part of the wider community. We hope that Whitley is a place from which every child takes with them happy memories of their early school years with us.

Whitley Village School is an extended learning community that reinforces the value, safety and inclusion of all individuals; where we establish high expectations and a success culture.  We place a high emphasis upon personal qualities such as the aspiration to learn, an inquisitive mind, politeness, honesty and a respect for others.

We would be pleased to welcome you to our school where the children and I will be happy to give you a tour of the school and to share our achievements with you. We are sure you will appreciate, the small classes, nurturing environment and good quality teaching and learning and our children’s enthusiasm for their school.
