Alderley Edge Drama Festival
On Saturday 12th May 15 children from years 5 and 6 took part in the Alderley Edge Drama Festival. Competition was very tough, with some classes having 18 children taking part. Most of our children gained a commendation from the adjudicator (83-87%) with two gaining 3rd place in their respective classes. Mrs Roberts said "I was extremely proud of all the children, they had worked hard, prepared themselves well and gave convincing performances."
The Choir at the Alderley Edge Music Festival
The Choir sang this week in the Alderley Edge Music Festival where they came 2nd (by one point) within a strong group of 8 schools. As always the children made us all very proud. The adjudicator judged their singing as a convincing performance technically and artistically. He stated that this is 'a very strong voiced choir, that sings with lots of energy' and then later commented that this is 'a very impressive and musical young choir'.
Year 2 Residential to Burwardsley OEC
After a month of cold and wet weather the children certainly picked a perfect day to go on their residential.
The first day was wall to wall sunshine which enabled the children to play out and have fun until it was nearly dark!!
(please don't tell the Y2 Parents!)
