ACADEMY STATUS CONSULTATION
23rd February 2012 to 20th April 2012
The Governing Body of Kelsall Community Primary School is considering whether to apply to the Secretary of State to convert to an Academy. As part of this consideration, the governors are consulting parents, staff, pupils, partner schools and colleges, local partners and other stakeholders. The governing body is holding an open and wide ranging consultation on whether to convert. The responses will inform the governor’s final decision.
The consultation period begins on 23rd February and ends on 20th April. Governors will meet shortly after this consultation period to determine whether or not to apply for Academy status.
Although the decision is one for the Governing Body alone, it wishes to hear from as many stakeholders as possible. There are several ways to communicate with the Governing Body on this matter
Email: academy@kelsall.cheshire.sch.uk
Talk to governors at either of the parent evenings on 6th March and 20th March (no appointment needed). It can be the same evening or different to your appointment(s) with teachers.
Write to the Chair of Governors (Dr Harry Ziman) at the school.
The Governing Body will endeavour to answer as many questions as possible, either via this website or via further communications to parents and other stakeholders.
