Welcome

Every school offers a child something different, as each has its own special character.  Choosing the right one is an important decision and parents must be confident that it will suit their child’s personality and needs.

We are a small, Church of England Controlled Primary School, set in the rural village of Capenhurst, near Chester.  The school was built in 1893 and has undergone interior modernisation to provide purposeful, well-equipped classrooms.

This offers the opportunity for an engaging learning environment, within which children are happy, motivated and challenged.

The school has a warm, friendly atmosphere and enjoys a close relationship with the families of our children and the local community.

Children are at the heart of all we believe in education.  We have high expectations of all pupils regardless of their abilities and ensure that each child reaches his/her maximum potential.  Capenhurst C.E. Primary School gives all its pupils the chance to be well taught, well mannered and well behaved.
