'St John the Evangelist RC Primary School, Where We Learn to Love and Love to Learn.'
This Mission Statement was formed out of a collaborative exercise involving various working parties made up of parents, governors, staff , parishioners and children. Our task was to find our distinctive catholic identity. We explored our spiritual and moral values to find the heart of what makes our school tick. During this exercise we found that our children have a natural love for their school and our parents felt that it was a real family school united by a common heritage and culture made known to us by the person of Christ and has an ethos that welcomes all people of all faiths and backgrounds.
As such we are united to establish and make real the following values of Wisdom, the Word of God, common Welfare needs, bound together in shared Worship to establish a Welcoming and loving community.
The statement binds learning and our faith together as both sides of a common coin where both are dependent on the other.
We ask our parents to share these values whether they are Christian or non Christian as they are common values shared by all five of the worlds main faiths.
