Girl's Kwik Cricket Success
After an impressive 2nd place at the Macclesfield Kwik Cricket Finals, our brilliant girls team went to Warrington to compete at the Cheshire County Finals. The finals were split into 4 sections and our girls WON their section with 4 victories out of 4 games. They now go on to the grand finals next week against the other three winners in Cheshire as well as the four best teams in Lancashire! What an achievement! Well done girls.

Ashdene's Ensemble
Ashdene's Alderley Edge Music Festival award winning Ensemble played together for the last time this week, accompanying the children in class 5B for their family assembly. What a great year they've had!
New Kit Unveiled!
This is our A Team modelling our new school football kits. A big thank you to Mr Partington for sponsoring the strips and to Mr Thompson for the printing.

The school has just been awarded the Green Flag for all of our work towards helping the environment. This is the highest award a school can get for environmentally friendly issues. Our Recycling Officers: Georgia, Olivia and Phoebe have been instrumental in the school's success. |
Our Year 4 footballers were crowned the Mini World Cup Champions 2010. Representing Portugal, they won every game they played to get through to a tense final that had to be decided on penalties! England could learn a thing or two from these boys!
Unfortunately it was another penalty shootout that knocked our Year 5/6 team out of the competition in the semi finals!
We're really proud of both teams. Everyone had a really enjoyable day.
Street Dance
Some of Ashdene's Street Dance club members took part in a competition at Macclesfield High School involving local schools from the Wilmslow and Macclesfield area. They performed a dance routine to a medley of Michael Jackson songs and came fourth out of all the schools present! They performed like true professionals and should be very proud of themselves. Well done!
