Enabling the learner to learn

Primary schools throughout Rochdale have been getting online using the new tools and facilities available from their UniServity Learning Platform. Children from 5 through to 11 years of age have been accessing content personalised for their learning and enabling the teaching of the curriculum to move beyond the confines of the school building and into the homes, libraries and communities in which they live.

Empowering the teacher to teach

Practitioners have access to new creative tools to present material and engage with learners in ways previously unavailable. By establishing forums, blogs, quizzes, wikis and other online resources, children are eager to interact with the material; exciting them with new opportunities to express themselves and embed traditional skills through new methods.
